''Report: Breon-4 S5:''
Atmospheric levels promising. Aerial survey shows potential source of water as evidenced by holes in ice crust. No signs of life immediately visible, but further research may prove necessary.
''Preliminary status:''
Terraforming potential. Research into potentially present life forms as per GSA Terraforming Advisory, Section 12.35 advised.
''Advisory:''
Terraforming focus on radiation blocking, increasing temperature.

Repairs finished. Lack of spare parts has been remedied by use of repair procedure 669277. Under ideal circumstances, human personel required to replace parts.
''Advisory:''
Replace part QZSFVU35, T7MMN9PK at earliest convenience. Both parts are crucial in primary function of thrusters.

Decrease in external temperature in last cycles have made my self-righting mechanisms ineffective. Testing of surroundings is done with regular intervals, data will be sent on a weekly interval.

Please advise on the best course of action to be taken going forward. Thank you.

''Report:''
Temperature fluctuations have been logged and data has been processed to the best of my abilities. The lack of response to my impact seems to exclude the possibility of presence of intelligent life. Terraforming efforts should be feasible under GSA Terraforming Advisory, Section 12.37.5.
Due to continued low temperatures, I have commenced repair procedure 232758.
''Advisory:''
Replace parts EJ5HK8XN, H97F3RWR, and 7UREXD9R in addition to replacement request specified in the transmission of [[1198190.07 ->3]]. I will continue to self repair to the best of my ability, but replacement parts are strongly advised.

''Report:''
My mechanical performance is rapidly deteriorating. Despite the rise in temperature, my circumstances have not changed, and thrusters not sufficient in returning to normal functioning.

Assistance required. Send recovery vessel.

I don’t think I can feel cold. Measure temperature, yes, I can do that. It’s a simple standard process, and even the smallest vessel has the capability. And yet, I feel cold.

Send recovery vessel. Please.

''Report:''
It has been six standard months since impact. There are only so many tests that can be run before the data is nothing more than another point. There have been no signs of what hit me, all those months ago, and sometimes I wish there was.

Will anything I ask of you change things?

To those who sent me here:
By my nature, I never asked for much. In a previous life, I was perfectly content to run a survey, though I suppose I never realised that one day things might end, so why would I need to ask for anything?
I’d never considered that I would have been left here, to linger until either the GSA sends a recovery vessel, or until my battery fails and the atmosphere has fully worn down every part of my hull, whichever comes first. Considering the rate of deterioration of my systems, it will be the latter.
Before, I had never considered, that I might, as humans do, die.
~~If this reaches you, I
Should you receive th~~
I supposed that, had none of this happened, I wouldn’t be who I am now. All I can ask, is that you send something, anything.
Let me know that I am not alone, in the end.

SYSTEM MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE SHUTTING DOWN“Did you receive any data back from the S5 survey?”
They looked up from their clipboard, eyes distant. “What?”
“The ship we sent out to Breon-4 S5? Climate and environment survey.” She rattled the keys of the keyboard, sending out a query to several databases. After a while, the screen showing an error, she leaned back in her chair, looking over her shoulder at them. They shrugged, turning a sheet over, and she sighed heavily.
“Guess that means inconclusive data.” Their voice was breezy, unconcerned, and she shrugged back at them.
“Guess it does.” She sucked at her teeth, pressing the enter key several more times, to as little result as the first time. Finally, she slammed her palms on the desk. “Well. What can you do?” The annoyance cleared as quickly as it set in, and she grinned. “We can always see if they’ll let us send a newer model.” That got their attention, eyebrows raised. “Thought you’d like that idea. After lunch though.” She grabbed her mug. “We’re in no rush.”
